There are more trails than can be named within a short trek of camp. If you like a short paved trail with breathtaking views then we suggest "Wiseman's View" or maybe you prefer to climb the rock face of a mountain Table Rock (Attocoa) or Shortoff are where you want to be. There is sure to be a hiking or climbing experience to suit you near by. The Linville Gorge Wilderness area and Pisgah National Forest offer hundreds of trails. If you prefer to bike we have an abundance of roads for biking with cute stops and gorgeous views along the way such as Old NC 105 or if mountain biking is what you're looking for there are trails like the Fonta Flora State Trail.

The area around and including Morganton is known as "Natures Playground" and it has no problem living up to its nick name!

RIVER CANOE & KAYAKING

There's something special about being in a canoe or kayak floating on a lake or river. Our area has an abundance of paddle boat options with varying degrees of difficulty. Lake James, the Catawba River, Linville River, and Johns River are just a few local favorites! Check out CBS Sports for kayak and canoe rentals as well as other outdoor sporting goods!
